The model is equipped with OSRAM® LED chips that generate almost 770 lumens of luminous flux (6500Kelvin) with 8 watts of power. This is quite bright with a 60° beam angle and corresponds to an efficiency of 100 lumens / watt. The brightness is correspondingly lower when warm colour tones are set.
The LED recessed spotlight bathroom is dimmable via phase cut-off dimming. Ideally, an LED-compatible dimmer with a low minimum load is used to avoid flickering and jumps in the dimming curve. This dimming work with LEDs usually allows a minimum dimming of 10 to 15% of the total brightness. Dimming is done with a rotary or touch dimmer. When used with a home automation system and dimming actuators, a dimming test is recommended in advance. The ceiling cut-out or hole size is 70mm and therefore fits into many common ceiling cut-outs that are equipped with spots.
The versatile OSRAM LED chip with adjustable light colour between 2700 Kelvin and 6500K cool white delivers a good colour rendering of CRI85. The high protection rating of IP65 is also suitable for installation above shower cubicles or above bathtubs, where particularly high requirements are placed on the IP protection rating. The model is also popular for outdoor use. However, many customers also use the bathroom LED recessed spotlight indoors, such as in the living room or kitchen, because of its flexibility. The light spot does not produce any disturbing spots or light cones on the illuminated surfaces. The light is distributed very evenly.
This modern LED spot dimmable bathroom easily replaces a 50Watt classic halogen luminaire and exceeds the brightness by approx. 20-25%. This spot is connected directly to 230V and does not require a separate power supply. Existing 12V power supplies should be removed accordingly.
