This recessed spotlight requires a cut-out size (ceiling cutout) of 72–85 mm. The square outer dimension of the bezel is approx. 90 x 90 mm, completely and tightly covering the cut-out – which is crucial for maintaining the IP65 protection rating.
Why is this IP65 recessed spotlight fixed and not tiltable?
To permanently meet the strict requirements of the IP65 rating (protection against water jets), the housing must be sealed absolutely airtight and watertight. A tilting mechanism would require mechanical tolerances and moving seals, which would pose a safety risk under permanent exposure to water vapour or water jets.
Why is a high CRI 98 value so important in bathroom and wellness areas?
Light quality is decisive, especially for cosmetic grooming in front of the mirror or in wellness havens. Skin tones often look greyish and unhealthy under CRI 80. Dim2Warm physically pairs the colour temperature with the brightness: the further you dim down the luminaire using your classic trailing-edge dimmer, the warmer the light becomes (from 2700K down to a cosy candlelight effect at 2000K). You only need a standard trailing-edge dimmer – no additional control lines, bus systems, or smart home technology are required.
