The Casambi dimming modules for 1-10Volt - 0-10V or DALI dimmable LED lights work very well and reliably. These are technically mature and can be controlled very conveniently via a smartphone app or alternatively via an optional wall switch.
The Casambi Bluetooth dimming modules have a number of advantages. They are very small, compact and easy to install. This small, inexpensive Bluetooth dimming module is mounted and operated in ceilings directly on LED panels or recessed luminaires or at great heights on LED high-bay spotlights. Without much effort in additional wiring.
No dimming line necessary: Particularly at great heights, no dimming cables have to be laid and installed subsequently. The Casambi Bluetooth dimming modules are connected directly to the 1-10 volt dimming cable of the LED drivers. An additional relay is required for this (see note below or installation instructions).
MESH function in the network:The Mesh function means that all modules communicate with each other and pass the status on to each other. The last light in the row can be dimmed, even if the Bluetooth range is not sufficient. It is sufficient if a luminaire in the vicinity transmits the dimming signal.
Encrypted secure connection and no WlAN required:
Control is encrypted via Bluetooth smartphones or tablets. No WIFI network is required, or routers or gateways that need to be maintained. Thus you are also more protected against attacks from outside. The modules are connected directly to the luminaire. A WIFI connection is only required for firmware updates.
Individual control / group control / scene control:
Luminaires can be controlled individually in a Casambi network or combined into groups. Scenarios can be defined as the start brightness or dimming scenarios. The many possibilities are very large.
Access restriction:
By setting up a CASAMI network, it is also possible to determine exactly who can control the luminaires and who cannot. Access to the control network is password protected.
Controlling luminaires without APP?
The control of the luminaires or groups is also possible without SMartphone / App. For this there is a Bluetooth wall transmitter which switches the lights on and off like a light switch.
Note for operation with 1-10V luminaires:
When operating with 1-1V dimmable LED power supplies, a relay must also be installed! This is very important, otherwise the Casambi module can be damaged. We recommend the small Eltako switching relay R91-100-230V, which we also offer here in a bundle.
Installation and commissioning of the Casambi Bluetooth light control system
The installation and setup of a Casambi is very simple and intuitive. However, please read the installation instructions and the instructions for the APP in advance. You can download the Casambi APP from Apple's App Store or Google Play.
